Fall Book Challenge, Day 4: Book & Fall Outfit
Fall Book Challenge, Day 4: Book & Fall Outfit

Proof that I am a total book nerd: the scarf is printed with a scene from #anneofgreengables in which Anne brings a slate down on the hapless Gilbert's head. And yes, the owl on my necklace is in fact carrying the post. (Both were found on @etsy!) Also, a book of poems for Young Adults that turns fairy tales creepily on their heads? YES PLEASE.

Woohoo!! With 3 months to spare

Serpentine - Cindy Pon

Fun, but nothing atypical for a YA book. And I definitely found myself skimming towards the end.

Dumplin' - Julie Murphy

THAT WAS SO DAMN EXCELLENT!

A Darker Shade of Magic - V.E. Schwab

Great premise, good plot, likable characters. Nothing life-changing, but pretty fun.

The Hollow Boy

Lockwood & Co. Book Three: The Hollow Boy - Jonathan Stroud

Bone-chilling! Excellent set up and climax. Characterization was great as always, except that I wanted to beat Lockwood about the head. The idiot.

Finished: Dorothy Must Die

Dorothy Must Die - Danielle Paige

The "heroes" were fine, but the "villains" were what bumped this up for me. Chilling and twisted! Hopefully the sequel will be less predictable...

"Welcome to the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked, Amy."

Mombi, Dorothy Must Die

BEST OF THE YEAR!
